Benzodiazepines have no fixed detection window: it depends strongly on the half-life of the specific substance. Short-acting benzodiazepines are usually detectable for 1 to 3 days in urine, while long-acting types can remain visible for up to 4 to 6 weeks with chronic use. The second step is a confirmation with a more precise method, which identifies the exact substance and quantifies the concentration.
