Cocaine is a stimulant drug from coca leaves, and according to the Trimbos Institute it works for 30 to 60 minutes. According to the Trimbos Institute, the body quickly breaks cocaine down into metabolites, breakdown products, of which benzoylecgonine stays in the body considerably longer than cocaine itself. According to the Trimbos Institute, after those 30 to 60 minutes a user is not yet sober and cannot, for example, drive safely yet. According to the Trimbos Institute, regular cocaine use can quickly lead to psychological dependence, and according to the NVKC a drug test usually looks for traces of use in the urine. Star-SHL uses a cut-off of 150 ug/l for cocaine in urine, lowered from 300 ug/l as of 1-12-2020.
A ketamine urine test is a qualitative screening that detects the presence of ketamine or its metabolites in urine. Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic used medically for anaesthesia and pain management, but may also be used as a recreational substance.
An amphetamines urine test is a qualitative screening that detects the presence of amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy), and related compounds or their metabolites in urine. This test covers a broad class of central nervous system stimulants.
3-MMC is, according to a Dutch study from 2026, a synthetic cathinone and an isomer of mephedrone (4-MMC): 3-MMC has the same atoms as mephedrone, with one group in a different place. According to that study, 3-MMC became popular in the Netherlands because of its stimulant effect and because it was legal at first. According to the Trimbos Institute, 3-MMC can bring cheerfulness, an upbeat feeling, less anxiety and more self-confidence. According to the Trimbos Institute, 3-MMC can also bring muscle and jaw tension, a dry mouth, restlessness and sleeplessness, and craving, the urge to use again and again. Only a test shows whether 3-MMC has been in the body; in a laboratory, that is possible in blood and urine. Unilabs publishes no cut-off or unit for 3-MMC in urine and gives "n.aant.", not detectable, as the expected result of its MMC panel. This 3-MMC test looks for 3-MMC in urine.
An LSD urine test is a qualitative screening that detects the presence of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) or its metabolites in urine. LSD is a potent synthetic psychedelic substance that produces effects at very low doses.
A GHB urine test is a qualitative screening that detects the presence of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) in urine. GHB is a central nervous system depressant that occurs naturally in the body in trace amounts but may also be used as a recreational substance.
Phenibut is a substance that resembles GABA, a messenger substance of the nervous system, and according to a 2024 review it acts mainly on GABA-B, GABA-A and beta-phenethylamine receptors. In Eastern European countries, phenibut is a registered prescription medicine according to a 2024 article, used against anxiety, insomnia and alcohol withdrawal among other things. With long-term use, phenibut can cause tolerance according to the review, and stopping suddenly can trigger a withdrawal syndrome that can need treatment. Only a laboratory test shows whether phenibut is in the body, and a standard drug screen does not look for it, according to the review. None of the laboratory guides read for phenibut names a reference value: Unilabs looks for phenibut in a urine screen for new psychoactive substances, and Diagnostiek voor U reports phenibut in urine in micrograms per millilitre (µg/mL).
A 6-MAM urine test is a qualitative screening that detects the presence of 6-monoacetylmorphine (6-MAM) in urine. 6-MAM is a unique metabolite of heroin (diacetylmorphine) and its presence confirms heroin exposure specifically, rather than general opiate use.
An opiates urine test is a qualitative screening that detects the presence of opiate compounds such as morphine, codeine, and their derivatives in urine. Opiates are a class of substances derived from the opium poppy or their semi-synthetic analogues.
